Education Committee
Meetings: 2nd Wednesday of month, 7:30 a.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Education Committee to initiate and monitor Chamber activities designed to inform and assist members in understanding and implementing all educational opportunities in the Chamber region (i.e. Franklin Seminar and Lunch and Learn Program), and to promote educational systems and opportunities needed by Chamber members and community citizens not currently available in the region. 

Economic Environment Committee
Meetings: 4th Monday of the month, 12:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Economic Environment Committee to formulate strategies for promoting community activities designed to create a positive civic and business image for the community. 

Finance Committee
It is the responsibility of the Finance Committee to prepare an annual budget for the Chamber and to present such budget, via the Vice President for Finance, to the Board for approval. The Finance Committee is also charged with reviewing all bookkeeping procedures to assure that they are consistent with standard acceptable practices.

High Desert Interpretive Steering Committee
Meetings: as needed in the Rock Springs Chamber Board Room 
It is the mission of the High Desert Interpretive Center to provide a setting for the further study and the showcase of wildlife, anthropology, minerals, and geology unique to this area. 

Legislative Committee
Meetings: 4th Tuesday of the month, 7:30 a.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Legislative Committee to review current and proposed state, county, and local legislation that has or may have an impact on the Chamber’s mission and to take a proactive approach to the development of strategies to be implemented by the Chamber in assuring that all legislation passed is favorable to that mission. 

Membership Services Committee
It is the responsibility of the Membership Services Committee to develop, evaluate and alter as necessary, services which the Chamber provides to its members (Chamber newsletter, phone rates, group insurance, information and opportunity updates). The committee will always seek to improve tangible benefits directly available to the Chamber membership.

Public Relations Committee
The International Ambassadors shall serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber. As such, this organization shall assist at such special events as Business After Hours, ground breaking events, ribbon cutting ceremonies, candle lighting ceremonies, International Day, conventions and other functions that provide an opportunity for public exposure of the Chamber. In conjunction with the CEO, it will plan, organize, develop and implement activities that enhance member recruitment and retention and that promote networking among members. It shall have its own by-laws that are consistent with the Chamber’s mission statement and that are approved by the Chamber’s Board.

Retail Committee
Meetings: 3rd Thursday of the month, 8:00 a.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Retail Committee to maintain an awareness of the retail environment within the area served by the Chamber and to develop activities designed to enhance the vitality of retail trade in that area. 

Tourism Committee
Meetings: 3rd Thursday of the month, 12:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Tourism Committee to inform, educate and promote to members and citizens the travel, recreational, and convention resources in the area. They ensure that travelers within the Chamber area have current and accurate promotional materials and information sufficient to enhance their travel and promote the region. 

Vision Committee
Meetings: 3rd Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Board Room.
It is the responsibility of the Vision Committee (1) to monitor activities of the Chamber relative to the Plan of Work established at the Annual Meeting, (2) to assure that the infrastructure (by-laws, Employee Manual, Policy and Procedure Manual, compensation schedules and the like) of the Chamber is sound, current, and in keeping with the program and operations of the Chamber and (3) to assess trends that may have a future impact on the mission of the Chamber and to bring to the Board recommendations regarding anticipated business, political, and other needs of the Chamber’s members
