2019 Rock Springs Chamber Board Nominees

The Rock Springs Chamber Board of Directors Election Committee recieved the following nominations for open positions on the board.

Mark D. Lyon – Wish Craft Custom Metalwork/City of Rock Springs

I am very community minded and involved. I am proud to call Rock Springs my home and diligently work to make improvements. I have a broad knowledge base and match words with action. I participate and commit time to the boards that I serve on. I am currently a member of the Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism Board as well as it’s Beautification Committee. I am a member of the Governor’s Outdoor Recreation Task Force and was elected as the Wyoming State Director for the Rock Mountain Chapter of the International Society of Agriculture. I have served on the URA committee’s and eight years on the Sweetwater County Outdoor Recreation Board. I would welcome the opportunity to serve on the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Veronica Donaldson – Donaldson Medical Clinic

“Rock Springs has always been my home. I love the town, the people. I think that Rock Springs is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. I look forward to hopefully sharing with people what a wonderful place it is to live. We have so much to offer families and businesses who come here. One person can make a place nice, but together we can make it something wonderful.”

Being a lifetime resident of Sweetwater County, I am very familiar with the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce and its importance to the development of our local economy.

My employment background in healthcare, banking and retail have allowed me to network in many different industries that would greatly benefit the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce.

I have also worked with Chamber activity members and employees on the Sixth Penny Special Purpose Tax.”

Kayla Mannikko – YWCA of Sweetwater County

“My motivation in applying for the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is to better the community we live in. My contribution to the Board will be a youthful perspective, positivity, drive, and direction. I am always striving to look for the best in each situation as well as motivating those around me to become involved in our community. I will continue to network with different business leaders while facing current and future community issues.

I am dedicated to Sweetwater County and have been pro-active in implementing change to make our community a better place to live, work, and raise families in. While serving on various committees, the Board of Western Wyoming Reproductive Health, volunteering graciously throughout Sweetwater County, I have devoted my time addressing family violence, health care and early childhood issues.

I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors to focus on the well-being of our community.”

A electronic ballot will be sent via email to the Rock Springs Chamber Membership on October 15th. The four-year term will begin January 2019.
